Forbidden City & Mutianyu Great Wall Day Tour
Experience one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on this full day tour. The Great Wall of China is a colossal series of stone fortifications built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire. Since the 5th century BC, several walls have been built that were referred to as the Great Wall. You will be collected from your hotel at 09:00 and driven by luxury air-conditioned vehicle to the Forbidden City. Roam the bustling streets and learn the history of this ancient site. At 11:00 you will be driven to the Mutianyu Great Wall where you will have time for lunch. One of the most famous part of the wall was built between 220-206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, and this is the part of the wall which you will visit. Your guide will give you a detailed tour of the wall offering information on the history, facts and stories behind this fascinating structure. Remember to bring a camera! At 15:30 you will be driven back to your hotel, along the way you can reflect upon your day relaxed in the knowledge that you have seen one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
